EnglishThis term we study a range of genre. We look at explanation texts and use our watery topic as a stimulus for this writing. We use Wind in the Willows as a basis for our story writing set in imaginary worlds. We revisit poetry and create images based on the theme of rivers. We also study the features of persuasive writing. |

TopicIn this term, year four will learn about rivers and the water cycle. We will be looking at how the water cycle works and at the features of rivers; waterfalls, meanders, ox-bow lakes and estuaries, as well as the flora and fauna associated with river habitats. We will be going to the Tillingbourne River on our school trip and creating a river profile. |
REThis term we study Judaism. This study answers the questions; Who are the Jews? What does it mean to be a Jew?
