Autumn term


During this term we will study story writing,  discussion texts (linked to Ancient Greek debate); recounts and poetry.


We will continue to have a daily maths lesson when we will study 4 operations (+, -, x, ÷); fractions – of shapes and of numbers; shape – 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional; coordinates and measures (weights and lengths).


Science this term involves lot of practical work.  We will learn about animals and humans- with a particular focus on the circulatory system, as well as diet and exercise.  Our physics unit this term is electricity.


Our History topic this term is Ancient Greece. This is a vast, varied and fascinating topic. We study life in Athens and Sparta, including the concept of democracy; the battles of Marathon and Thermopylae; gods and goddesses; the Greek myths; the ancient Olympics and a little bit of philosophy!


During our RE lessons this term we will consider the questions ;

What do Christians believe God is like?

What is Church?


We learn, this term, to give and understand directions.  We become more familiar with the french vocabulary to describe places in towns and cities.


This term we continue to develop our tag rugby and football skills as well as challenging ourselves to improve our gymnastics.
