Learning to spell helps a child to develop a strong connection between the letters and their sounds, and learning high-frequency 'sight words' (i.e. words that cannot easily be sounded out) will assist a child in both their reading and writing.
It was good to see so many of you at the consultation meetings last week. Staff really enjoyed meeting parents face to face or virtually to discuss your child's progress and wellbeing.

The influence and support of a parent or carer can play a vital role during a child's personal and educational development, and writing is a great way for children to express their thoughts, creativity, and uniqueness.

The I.T. Safeguarding talk for parents is taking place in the school hall at 3:30 - 4:00pm this afternoon.
This talk is not appropriate for children, so please take your child to their year group where the teachers will be waiting to supervise them.
Whole School Production ‘What a Knight!’
We are very excited to share that we are starting to rehearse for this year's production of ‘What a Knight’.
With Autumn now fully upon us, and the constant changing weather please do make sure that children have a coat (clearly named) with them in school each day. We make the most of the outdoors right through the colder months, and it is important for the children to stay warm and dry.
