Year Six French Festival
Year Six visit Guildford County School for a French Festival.
On Tuesday 14th June, Year 6 visited County School for a French Festival run by Year 9 language leaders. The day involved four activities – petanque, orienteering, croquet and football – and lots of new French vocabulary. The children learnt vocabulary to fit with each activity and then were awarded points for using the correct vocabulary at the appropriate time in the games. The Year 9 language leaders led the day with enthusiasm and understanding and it was brilliant to see Year 6 fully involving themselves with everything they were asked to do. A lot of fun was had by all and a fair amount of learning too! C’était magnifique (as the French might say!).
