The cost of meals is increasing in September 2015 to £2.15 per day. A weeks dinner card will cost £10.75 and a four week dinner card £43.00. We require payment, in advance, either by cash or by cheque (please make cheques payable to Northmead Junior School).
Every child can now opt to receive school milk each day from Cool Milk.
Safeguarding the welfare of the children at school remains our highest priority. We would like to remind parents that under no circumstances will we allow any other person to take children home from school without express permission by phone or letter from the parent or guardian.
A huge thank you to everyone who took the time and interest to complete this survey.
We would like to remind everyone that Northmead is a nut free school. It is vitally important that we remain vigilant about this and reduce, as far as possible the chances of children who have nut allergies coming into contact with any form of nuts.
There is new legislation regarding absence from school during term time. As from 1st September 2013 we will not be able to authorise any holidays at all.
There are still places at the breakfast club. If you are interested in finding out more information about the club or you would like to register your child for one or more sessions at the breakfast club please phone the school office.
As the weather is forecast to turn colder please can you remind children to come to school with a suitable coat as we encourage children to play outside at break and lunch times whenever possible.
A reminder for the New Year. Please continue to park with due care and attention for the safety of children arriving and leaving school and for local residents. Your co-operation and support with this is very much appreciated.
We are delighted that one of our ex-pupils Abigail Edmonds will be returning to Northmead on Friday 2nd March to take assembly. Abigail is one of the members of the Great British Sprint Canoe team in training for the London Olympic Games. She is a full time athlete and will be able to talk to us about her ambition to win gold at the 2012 Olympics.
