Notice of Intention to Consult to become an Academy within a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT)
Published 20/02/18As you may be aware, it is government policy to encourage and support all schools to become academies by 2022, and in particular for schools to organise themselves within groups. At the same time, local authorities are reducing the services that they have available to schools as their budgets are reduced. For instance, from April 2018 a number of key services such as school improvement will no longer be provided by Surrey County Council.

Published 08/11/22With Autumn now fully upon us, and the constant changing weather please do make sure that children have a coat (clearly named) with them in school each day. We make the most of the outdoors right through the colder months, and it is important for the children to stay warm and dry.

Newsletter Issue 16
Published 28/06/22District sports Congratulations to everyone who represented our school at the District Sports at the Guildford Spectrum last Tuesday 21st June. It was a tremendous team effort with all our athletes throwing, jumping and running to the absolute best of their ability. Many of our children had the exciting experience of standing on the podium to receive gold, silver and bronze medals. Our school finished 3rd overall out of six schools which was a fantastic performance.

Published 12/10/21Year 6 Roles and Responsibilities - We have been very impressed by the enthusiasm of the children in year 6 for taking on additional responsibilities and looking after the welfare of other children in school. This week saw the announcement of the Playground Buddies/ Well being Ambassadors. They will be working in daily teams of four to support and guide younger children on the playground during morning play and lunch times. It is so good to have such a large group of volunteers.

We appreciate that families are trying to balance a lot at the moment but the importance of making reading part of your child's daily routine cannot be understated. Obviously, it is slightly more tricky to get hold of books in the current situation. This newsletter gives you details of two sites which you can use to access books for free.
