September School Arrangments
We are very pleased to be able to say we are opening school for all children in September.
We are very pleased to be able to say we are opening school for all children in September.
At Northmead we encourage children to manage their behaviour and show self-discipline and respect. During this difficult time, it is key that children follow instructions given to them by members of staff.
Dear Parents, As you will have heard in the news, schools may be able to reopen from 1st June to welcome back year 6 children, if the government thinks it is safe.
Dear Northmead Families,
We hope the latest updates regarding ‘Home Learning’ have been helpful. If you have not received login details to Google Classroom and Century or need any assistance to access the system please contact your child’s class teacher via the class email addresses (example: 3R@Northmead.surrey.sch.uk). Feel free to also let us know if you need any resources or materials to help support your child’s learning at home. Please remember these are all optional and putting your families health and well being first is the most important in these strange times.
31st March 2020 Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are aware the Easter break begins on Friday 3rd April and hope you enjoy a break from the home schooling you have been working hard on and are able to have some relaxation for a couple of weeks.
30th March 2020 - Dear Parents and Carers,
In order to allow for easier communication between yourselves and the teachers in school, we have set up email addresses through which you can contact your child’s teachers. One of the things we are all missing at this time is regular communication with the children at school and this is one way to improve this situation.
27th March 2020 - Dear Parents and Carers,
We are writing to you to outline plans for combining educational supervision, currently operating at individual schools, to a central Trust location. As numbers of children accessing on-site care across our five schools are limited, to a maximum of 30 children on any given day this week, we are seeking to rationalise educational support to one site, Stoughton Infant School, Stoughton Road, Guildford, GU2 9ZT. This will be operational from Monday 30th March.
26th March 2020 - Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope this message finds you all safe and well, and that your home learning from your individual pack is working effectively. Please keep checking the school web site for other home learning ideas.
Further to the parent mail sent this morning we now need to establish the number of children who will need to come to school after Friday’s closure.
As the news continues to break we are putting plans in place.
We have been instructed to close the school to almost all children after this Friday until further notice.
As advised by the government, we will do all we can to stay open for the children of key workers ( eg. NHS staff, police, others in front line services) and children with certain needs.
We would be grateful if parents and carers could please refrain from telephoning the school to ask questions about the COVID-19 situation at the present time.
Once we have clear information we will contact you again. Thank you for your patience at this very difficult time.
Tuesday 4th February from 3:15pm in the school hall
We will be having our annual Christmas Concert at Emmanuel Church on Friday 20th December with several musical performances and carols for the whole school to sing. Parents are welcome to join us at Emmanuel for a 9.30am start.
