Update - Thursday 19th March
Further to the parent mail sent this morning we now need to establish the number of children who will need to come to school after Friday’s closure.
Further to the parent mail sent this morning we now need to establish the number of children who will need to come to school after Friday’s closure.
As the news continues to break we are putting plans in place.
We have been instructed to close the school to almost all children after this Friday until further notice.
As advised by the government, we will do all we can to stay open for the children of key workers ( eg. NHS staff, police, others in front line services) and children with certain needs.
We would be grateful if parents and carers could please refrain from telephoning the school to ask questions about the COVID-19 situation at the present time.
Once we have clear information we will contact you again. Thank you for your patience at this very difficult time.
Tuesday 4th February from 3:15pm in the school hall
We will be having our annual Christmas Concert at Emmanuel Church on Friday 20th December with several musical performances and carols for the whole school to sing. Parents are welcome to join us at Emmanuel for a 9.30am start.
All children may wear a Christmas jumper to school on the day of their year group’s Christmas Lunch. Year three and four on Wednesday and year five and six on Thursday.
Too often children, staff and visitors share more than just good cheer during the winter season — coughs, colds and stomach bugs spread easily at this time of the year.
Hedgehog Food Donations
A huge heartfelt thank you for your kindness and generosity.
We now have a happy hedgehog who has a lovely variety of food to enjoy.
The children really enjoy checking for clues to see if she has visited and they replenish her food with great excitement.
Hopefully she will be gaining weight as she eats a whole bowl full every night!
As soon as I catch her out and about after dark, I will get an updated photo to share.
Thank you for your support

Well done to all the children who made a Harvest Creature for our school assembly today . Pictures of all the winners can now be found in the gallery.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated cakes and helped us sell them on Friday. We had great fun!
Our school works with Cool Milk to provide fresh school milk, with financial support from the Department of Health and the European Union.
