Following guidance we have been given, I thought it would be helpful as we head in to the cough and cold season to make it really clear with you what actions we will take if your child arrives at school having developed any of the COVID symptoms at home or they develop a COVID symptom whilst at school.

Welcome back to school.
Dear Parents and children, We have reached the end of the most unusual school year we have ever known.
We are very pleased to be able to say we are opening school for all children in September.
At Northmead we encourage children to manage their behaviour and show self-discipline and respect. During this difficult time, it is key that children follow instructions given to them by members of staff.
Dear Parents, As you will have heard in the news, schools may be able to reopen from 1st June to welcome back year 6 children, if the government thinks it is safe.

We hope the latest updates regarding ‘Home Learning’ have been helpful. If you have not received login details to Google Classroom and Century or need any assistance to access the system please contact your child’s class teacher via the class email addresses (example: 3R@Northmead.surrey.sch.uk). Feel free to also let us know if you need any resources or materials to help support your child’s learning at home. Please remember these are all optional and putting your families health and well being first is the most important in these strange times.

We are aware the Easter break begins on Friday 3rd April and hope you enjoy a break from the home schooling you have been working hard on and are able to have some relaxation for a couple of weeks.

In order to allow for easier communication between yourselves and the teachers in school, we have set up email addresses through which you can contact your child’s teachers. One of the things we are all missing at this time is regular communication with the children at school and this is one way to improve this situation.
