We have recently been updated by Surrey that infection rates continue to rise in Guildford, so we need to remain vigilant about wearing face coverings and maintaining social distancing. Please continue to follow the staggered drop off and pick up times, which are in place to reduce the number of people in the school grounds at the same time. For this reason please can you leave the school grounds promptly when you have collected your child, otherwise if you stop for a chat it increases the number of people waiting.
Virtual Parents Evening - A parent mail containing clear instructions about how the new virtual parents evening will be run and how parents can book an appointment will be sent out next week. The two dates for meetings are Tuesday 24th November 5:00pm—7:30pm and Thursday 26th November 6:00pm—8:30pm.
We are very pleased to share with you a very exiting offer we are able to bring to you along with our catering company abm. To thank the children who regularly already have a school meal and to invite and introduce children who have a packed lunch to abms new seasonal menu ABM would like to offer every child in Northmead a free school meal!
This term we will be holding our first virtual parents meetings.
Choosing a junior school for your child is an important decision. This year unfortunately due to COVID safety guidelines we will not be inviting prospective parents to come and meet us to see what our school has to offer your children. We have instead produced a short guided tour video clip which we hope will show you the rich and happy school life we have here at Northmead.
We have reached half term and I would like to thank you all for everything you have done to protect our community and enabling us to keep our school open.
Following our meeting with ABM the school catering company I am pleased to tell you the three week menu rotation has returned. These new menus contain many of the children`s favourites including a roast meal once a week and a greater variety of vegetables.
Tesco have approached our school and asked us to assist with an amazing poppy display window they have planned for November!
