February Reading Newsletter
World Book Day - 4th March 2021. We will celebrate World Book Day, with a dress up day. If they would like to, children can dress up in costumes inspired by their favourite book or character. This applies to children learning from home or in school. We look forward to seeing your creations.
Northmead's Online Book Club. We held the first meeting of our online book club this month. Miss Lewis, Mrs Mansfield and Mrs Backhurst were pleased to welcome many children from across the school. It made them very happy teachers to know so many pupils share their love of reading and books.
The group chose to read Top Dog by Emma Rea. Unfortunately, the book seems to be in short supply - so if you have a copy you would be happy to lend - please contact Miss Lewis. An alternative is to listen to Miss Lewis read the story online after school.
Any child who would like to join book club do let your class teacher know and they can pass on details of the Google Classroom code.
