I hope that you all had a lovely break with your families. I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone children, staff, and families—for such a positive and productive start to the school year. The energy and enthusiasm across both schools have been wonderful to see, and it’s clear that everyone has settled back into or learnt learning routines beautifully.

Last half-term was been enriched by some fantastic opportunities for our children. Pupils have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the Surrey SATRO Science Workshops, which sparked great curiosity and excitement for science across the schools. At Northmead, both children and staff were captivated by the Birds of Prey Workshop provided by the NST an unforgettable experience that brought learning to life. The ladies that led the workshop were highly complementary about the children’s behaviour and listening skills.

Last term, we also welcomed our Director of Education, Kathryn Krynicki, and our School Improvement Partner, Pip Utting, who both commented on the calm and purposeful learning environments evident in every classroom. It’s always lovely to see the hard work of our children and staff recognised in this way.
