Athena Primary Schools Advisor

Hours:                    One day per week, term-time on

Contract Rate:      £12,000 - £15,000 per annum (£400 - £500 per day)         

We are seeking a Primary Schools Advisor to support our team and play a vital school improvement role in our newly forming trust.  The requirement will be to start in September 2018 and work across our four primary schools to support headteachers and staff raise outcomes and aspirations for our children.  The advisor will be a key part of the Trust’s drive for continuous improvement for all our children and young people and is integral to the development of success of our next generation Multi Academy Trust.  We are looking for an efficient, enthusiastic advisor with excellent communication skills to help improve standards of progress and achievement, curriculum, intervention and quality assurance within Athena Schools Trust (AST) primary schools. 

The advisor will need:

  • A proven track record of school improvement
  • An excellent understanding of the context in which schools work and strategies to overcome underachievement
  • A desire to establish a new effectiveness in MAT working relationships with schools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Creativity
  • Resilience
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively to raise standards and accelerate progress

    It is anticipated that the contract will be for 30 days per annum, spread evenly across the three terms, to allow colleagues to work with other partners, Trusts and school improvement workers.
