National Anti-Bulling Week
National Anti-Bullying Week - 13th to 17th November 2107
Next week is National Anti-Bullying week. The theme for this year is “All Different, All Equal.”
During the week, your child will spend time celebrating what makes them, and others, unique. We will explore the diversity which exists in our school and society including, in an age appropriate way, those characteristics outlined in the Equalities Act (which include, among others; Age, Disability, Gender, Race, Religion)
Throughout the week we will help your child to understand how important it is that everyone feels valued and included at Northmead and able to be themselves, without fear of bullying.
We will be using picture books to aid our discussions;
‘The Great Big Book of Families’ by Mary Hoffman and Ros Asquith
‘Oliver’ by Birgitta Sif
‘This is our house’ by Michael Rosen
If you would like further details of the activities planned or would like to read the picture books for yourself please speak to Miss Lewis.
