Year Three Trip to Butser Celtic Farm

Full CalendarSchool Calendar

This event will take place between 9:00am and 3:00pm on 07/06/2016

To enrich our learning in history, we will be visiting Butser Ancient Farm on Tuesday 7th June. This is a working farm which operates as it would have done in the Iron Age. During the day the children will not only have the chance to see what farms and buildings would have looked like, but will also have the opportunity to take part in a variety of practical activities such as daubing, clunching, chalk carving and spinning.

The trip will take place during school hours and will cost £16.40, which covers entry costs, workshop fees and coach travel. We would like to remind parents that although the payment of this trip is a voluntary contribution, if the costs for the trip are not covered then the trip may have to be cancelled. We request you send payment to your child’s class teacher by Monday 23rd May.  Cheques should be made payable to ‘Northmead Junior School’. Please write your child’s name and class on the back of your cheques. Thank you for your support.

We will send out a further letter in the last week of this half term with particular details about what to wear and bring.
