On Wednesday 7^th February Year 4 will be visited by a company called ‘Portals To The Past’ to talk with the children about their exciting Roman topic. Bringing with them artefacts, activities and exciting surprises, it is a fantastic opportunity for the children to immerse themselves in practical activities and will enhance the teaching of our topic this term. We are sure the children will enjoy the experience and it will provide useful information for their project work. Please note that there will be no PE on this day.

If possible, we would like the children to dress up in Roman costume for the day. We have attached some pictures below for some ideas:

These costumes are widely available on eBay or amazon, or get creative and make your own!

The cost of the visit is funded by NST (Northmead supporters team) so there is no cost for parents.

Each class will spend an hour with the specialist throughout the day. The company are bringing other exciting activities for us to do in class for the rest of the day to support their experience. There will be no maths or literacy on this day.
